Balcones Single Barrel Texas Rye (64%)

Aged in new American oak then finished in a Pinot Noir cask for fifty nine months, this Single Barrel Texas Rye is spectacularly intense, with an oily richness and incredible flavour. Non-chill filtered, and with an ABV of 64.4%, this Australia exclusive is sure to make a central talking point for any whiskey enthusiast's cabinet. 

Tasting Notes:

Nose:  An Apple flavour intermingles with rye and vanilla, with hints of berry fruits, cocoa and charred oak  muddled mint, ginger ale.

Palate:  This is unashamedly a cask strength and no question are in flavour. The flavour builds and builds, with the rye getting increasingly noticeable. Delicious. 

Finish: This whiskey has a Loonnnggg finish.  The flavours linger well after the last sip, and rich mouthfeel.  The oak, rye, mint and cocoa  still evident too.
