Cofounders Mike Hinds & James Davenport hosted the WHA barrel pick crew as they tasted through several barrels in their on-site tasting room, fitted out with experimental barrels aging away! This 95/5 MGP classic rye mash bill jumped out as a winner!  

When Nashville went to buy their first barrels of whiskey, they bought bourbon, but the first barrels we bottled were actually rye. This rye is comprised of 95% rye and 5% malted barley varying in age statements and available for picking. Ask anyone who's tried one...they don't disappoint.

The nose opens with toffee, mild leather, orchard barks, blood orange, soft sweet grains, cinnamon sticks, cherry tobacco, plum, and a whisper of old pine accented by a touch of thyme.

Palate:
The taste meanders through salted caramel, dates, cinnamon bark, cardamon pods, clove buds, and soft vanilla cake before leaning slowly into a spiced warmth.
