ABERLOUR 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Aberlour 18 Year Old is an exceptional single malt, appreciated and loved by connoisseurs. This complex Scotch whisky further enhances the Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry finish. The producers introduced a new double cask maturation in two sherry barrels (PX and Oloroso Sherry) with this 18-year-old whisky to achieve a long and complex taste with lingering sweetness. This exquisite whisky has been finished in specially selected first fill Oloroso Sherry casks, known for their juicy sultana and liquorice flavours. These fusions were then combined with PX sherry fusions, which give it an intense, syrupy sweetness. The result is a long, complex whisky with lingering sweetness that is rich and fruity on the palate, with notes of apricot, chocolate-covered sultanas, liquorice root and grated nutmeg.

Colour: Auburn gold.

Aroma: Wonderful upfront fruitiness with a creamy-honey, toffee nose. Rich brilliant Sherry with other fruity notes.

Palate: A well structured whisky with the creamy profile continuing throughout accompanied by orange, cinnamon & caramel-chocolate. Rich & smooth mouthfeel. 

Finish: Soft & gentle with chocolate & caramel.
